A burst of color, creativity, and social awareness lit up Col. Rock School, Dehradun, during a vibrant Drawing Competition organized by Roots Foundation in celebration of its 5th Foundation Day.

Over 123 students from Classes I to VIII participated, expressing their ideas through themes like “Girl Child Education,” “My School Campus,” “Landscape,” and “Aquatic Life.” Winners were awarded medals, certificates, and gifts, while all participants were appreciated for their efforts.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Ms. Shabnam Anand Singh, renowned international artist and designer; Mr. Gaurav Aggarwal, a visionary entrepreneur; and Col. Deep Rana, decorated army officer and IMA alumnus. Their presence inspired students with messages of creativity, innovation, and service.

Roots fundrasing event in U.K

On 24th July, Leicester lit up with warmth, laughter, and purpose as we came together to celebrate five incredible years of The Roots Foundation.

This evening was more than a celebration — it was a heartfelt tribute to every donor, volunteer, participant, and supporter who has walked this journey with us. From inspiring stories to moments of gratitude, the night reminded us why we do what we do and how far we’ve come.

What started as a small idea during uncertain times has grown into a powerful global community, united by a shared mission — supporting girl child education in rural Uttarakhand. Over the years, we’ve not only raised vital funds but also built friendships, created unforgettable memories, and witnessed first-hand the transformative power of collective action.

The night was filled with joy and connection — we shared memories of our journey so far, reflected on the impact we’ve made, and looked back at the milestones we’ve achieved in previous years. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as guests took part in our raffle ticket draw, adding a playful spark to the celebrations.

Here’s to the next chapter — stronger, bolder, and always rooted in purpose. 💚

Drawing Competition at Chaukhamba Junior High School, Ukhimath

We hosted a drawing competition to celebrate five years since the inception of the Roots Foundation, and it was nothing short of heartwarming. Watching these young students express their thoughts and dreams through colours and sketches reminded us of the true power of education and creativity.

In 2023, through our Roots Foundation initiative, we helped transform the school into a space where children feel safe, inspired, and excited to learn.

It’s more than just a competition — it’s a moment for them to explore, imagine, and feel proud of their abilities.

While working closely with the school on its redevelopment, we’ve come to see the students, teachers, and staff as an extended part of our own family.

We’re always proud to see these young kids doing well — not just academically, but also in their creative expression and we’re honoured to be a small part of their journey forward.

Triathlon Challange 2025

In 2025, we are thrilled to announce that 70+ champs from 16+ locations and 6 countries are taking on a challenge to support the Roots Foundation’s mission. This year, participants will be engaging in a triathlon that includes running, biking, and swimming. Their collective efforts aim to raise significant funds to support girl child education in Uttarakhand, India, and the NHS in the UK.

The Roots Foundation was established with a vision to make a positive impact on communities through education and healthcare initiatives. Over the past years, we have seen incredible support and generosity from our donors and volunteers, which has enabled us to touch many lives.

This year’s triathlon is not just about physical endurance, it is about the spirit of community and the drive to make a difference. The funds raised through this event will be instrumental in continuing our efforts to provide quality education to girls in the remote villages of Uttarakhand and support the NHS in delivering exceptional healthcare services. The triathlon will see participants push their limits across three grueling disciplines, symbolizing the effort and commitment required to bring about real change.

Together, we can continue to support education and healthcare initiatives, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to dream big and that our healthcare heroes receive the support they deserve.
