Project 2021
Stroke Service,
Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
About 2200-2300 stroke patients are admitted each year at Stroke Unit, Nottingham University Hospitals.
We made a donation to Stroke Service, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The amount donated will be used to benefit the patients of the Daybrook ward and help the staff there to provide excellent care to the patients. Daybrook Stroke Unit provides intensive rehabilitation to our stroke patients.
The funds will be utilised for allowing patients to participate in day-to-day activities like gardening and common domestic hobbies – which in turn would pave the way for their returning home and at the same time make rehabilitation look less daunting.
In addition, the funds will be used to acquire equipment as well for our multi-disciplinary team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, dietitians, and speech and language therapists. We will also use it to fund places for our multi-disciplinary team in our educational programmes.
Thank you for your help and making a difference.
