Roots Foundation and Chaukhamba junior high school, Ukhimath, Phase II
In Phase 2 of our ongoing commitment to Chaukhamba Junior High School in Ukhimath, located atop the picturesque hills of Mansoona village, we began on a comprehensive renovation and enhancement project. Building upon our initial efforts, this phase aimed to elevate the entire school’s infrastructure and educational resources to new heights.

During our recent visit to Mansoona village, we observed the continued dedication of both teachers and students despite the challenging conditions. Recognizing their resilience and the need for a better learning environment, we decided to take significant strides in Phase 2. This time, we renovated the entire school from top to bottom, ensuring that every classroom and facility met modern standards. The school’s transformation included repairing and painting the walls, installing proper windows, upgrading the flooring, to create a more conducive learning atmosphere.
