Chaukhamba Junior High School – Phase 3
At Roots Foundation, we believe that education goes beyond books and classrooms. It is about giving children the tools, opportunities, and confidence they need to build a brighter future. As part of Phase 3 of our support for Chaukhamba Junior High School, we took another meaningful step towards creating a better learning environment for the students.
One of the key milestones of this phase was the installation of two computers at the school. For many of these children, this marks their first opportunity to interact with technology in a structured learning environment. Access to computers will help them develop essential digital skills, improve their confidence, and prepare them for a future where technology plays a vital role in education, careers, and everyday life.
However, our commitment extends beyond infrastructure. We believe that a school flourishes when students feel inspired and teachers feel supported. During our visit, we spent valuable time with both the students and the teaching staff, organising engaging activities that encouraged teamwork, creativity, participation, and learning beyond the classroom. These interactions helped strengthen the bond between the school community and Roots Foundation while creating a positive and motivating atmosphere for everyone involved.
Phase 3 reflects our continued commitment to ensuring that children in rural Uttarakhand have access to quality education and equal opportunities. Every improvement, whether it’s introducing technology, enhancing learning resources, or creating memorable experiences, is another step towards empowering young minds.
